Lost & Found

We understand that items can occasionally be left behind in rental vehicles. What-A-Rental TX LLC makes every effort to help reunite customers with their belongings.

Reporting a Lost Item

  • As soon as you realize an item may have been left behind, please contact our office directly at (682) 247-4989.
  • Provide the following information to help us locate your item quickly:
    • Full name on rental agreement
    • Vehicle year, make, and model (or license plate number, if known)
    • Date and time of return
    • Detailed description of the lost item
  • You can also email mike@whatarental.com with “Lost Item” in the subject line.

Found Items & Holding Policy

  • All items found in returned vehicles are securely stored at our Fort Worth office for up to 30 days.
  • After 30 days, unclaimed items may be disposed of or donated at our discretion.
  • Perishable or unsanitary items are discarded immediately for safety reasons.

Item Retrieval & Shipping

  • Items may be picked up in person by appointment or shipped upon request.
  • Customers requesting shipment are responsible for packaging and postage costs.
  • We are not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit.

Valuables & Identification

  • Government-issued IDs, credit/debit cards, or wallets will be securely held and returned following identity verification.
  • Cards may be destroyed after 30 days for customer protection if not claimed.
  • Unclaimed cash or high-value items will be handled in accordance with Texas property laws.

Disclaimer

While What-A-Rental TX LLC strives to assist customers in recovering personal items, the company is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings left in rental vehicles. Renters are encouraged to check the vehicle thoroughly prior to return.
